The Internal Revenue Service closed its office in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in June 1996. The Embassy’s consular section continues to provide certain tax forms and instructions for use by taxpayers.

The best single source for tax information, forms, instructions and publications is the Internal Revenue Service homepage at http://www.irs.gov Tax forms and instructions can be completed on-line and printed.

The IRS center in Philadelphia services ALL OVERSEAS FILERS, including military personnel stationed abroad. The office hours are Monday - Friday 6AM-2AM Eastern Standard Time. However, when responding to a specific bill or notice, one should use the contact information provided on the bill or notice. Listed below are some useful telephone and fax numbers:

Please remember that the fax service CANNOT BE USED to transmit original tax returns. Faxed correspondence should contain ONLY information that was specifically requested, and a cover sheet containing the following information:

To: name and/or employee number
From: your name, address, phone and fax numbers
Taxpayer ID#: your social security number, EIN, or ITIN
Subject: the reason you are contacting IRS

To email your tax law questions go to www.irs.gov then click on "Site Map" then click on "Help With Tax Questions."

For tax account transcripts, tax return transcripts, W-2 information, 1099 information, or verification of nonfiling, use form 4506-T. This form can be faxed to 1-215-516-2931, or mailed to the address in the form instructions
