Fostering mutual understanding between the people of Saudi Arabia and the United States through educational and cultural exchange.
What? The Fulbright Student Program is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and administered by AMIDEAST.
Fulbright Student Program Scholarships enable Saudis to pursue their postgraduate study in the United States, build leadership skills, and exchange cultural understanding with Americans.
Who? Scholarships are open to Saudi citizens (must not have dual U.S. citizenship) living in Saudi Arabia who:
· hold a minimum of a BA/BS degree or equivalent with accumulative GPA of very good at least; · want to pursue graduate study at the master's degree level; · are proficient in English with a recent TOEFL score of 550 minimum (paper), 213 (computer-based) or higher, a GRE score of 1000 or higher and a GMAT score of 500 or higher; · are able to function easily in academic and social settings.
Applicants will be asked to provide the following:
· proposed field of study (excluded is Medicine); · future plans; · educational background; · work experience; · language skills; · study/research objectives; · personal history; · 3 letters of reference (teachers/supervisors); · official academic record/certificate (if not in English, it should be translated); · 1 recent passport size photo; · proof of required tests.
Where? As a Fulbright Scholarship recipient, you will study at a university in the United States for up to two years. You may indicate at which universities you would like to study. These placements will be explored but cannot be assured.
Benefits: The scholarship covers:
· fund up to four months of pre-academic training; · tuition at the U.S. university; · a living and book/supply stipend; · round-trip international airfare to the U.S. and back, and · insurance for the duration of the study program.
Special Notes
· TOEFL/GRE/GMAT(for business courses only) Testing: You will need to submit proof of the above test scores at the time of application.
· The program does not support funding for relatives/dependents to accompany.
