What to bring to file a petition
In order to file an immigrant visa petition at the U.S. Embassy Riyadh, a U.S. citizen must prove that they have been legally resident in Saudi Arabia for at least 6 months.

To file for a spouse, please bring the following:
- Form I-130. Petition for Alien Relative
- Form G-325A. Biographic Information form for petitioner (U.S. Citizen)
- Form G-325A. Biographic Information form for beneficiary (non-U.S. Citizen)
- Marriage certificate for spouse (original and a copy)
- Death Certificate (in cases of previous marriages terminated by death, true copy and one additional copy)
- Divorce Decree (in cases of previous marriages terminated by divorce, true copy and one additional copy)
- One photo of the petitioner, and one photo of the beneficiary (Spouse) (Passport size pictures)
- I-130 filing fee (U$355 or SR1,349 payable in cash only)
- Valid passports for the petitioner and beneficiary and a photocopy of the biodata page for each passport.
- Beneficiary's Saudi Iqama (original and a copy)
- English translations of any of the above documents that are not in either English or Arabic.
To file for a child under 21 years of age, please bring the following:
- Form I-130. Petition for Alien Relative
- Child’s Birth Certificate (original and a copy)
- Your family book (original and a copy)
- Marriage Certificate (if the father is filing the petition)
- One photo of the petitioner, and one photo of the beneficiary (Child) (Passport size pictures)
- I-130 filing fee (U$355 or SR1,349 payable in cash only)
- Valid passports for the petitioner and beneficiary and a photocopy of the biodata page for each passport.
- English translations of any of the above documents that are not in either English or Arabic.
To file for a father, please bring the following:
- Form I-130. Petition for Alien Relative
- Your birth certificate showing the names of both parents (original and a copy)
- Parents’ marriage certificate (original and a copy) establishing that your father was married to your mother before you were born; also, documents showing that, any prior marriages of either your father or mother were legally terminated. If filing for a stepparent or adoptive parent, or if your are filing for your father and were not legitimated before your 18th birthday, see sections D, H and I of Form I-130
- One photo of the petitioner, and one photo of the beneficiary (Father) (Passport size pictures)
- I-130 filing fee (U$355 or SR1,349 payable in cash only)
- Valid passports for the petitioner and beneficiary and a photocopy of the biodata page for each passport.
- Beneficiary's Saudi Iqama (original and a copy).
- English translations of any of the above documents that are not in either English or Arabic.
To file for a mother, please bring the following:
- Form I-130. Petition for Alien Relative
- Your birth certificate showing your name and your mother's name (original and a copy)
- One photo of the petitioner, and one photo of the beneficiary (Mother) (Passport size pictures)
- I-130 filing fee (U$355 or SR1,349 payable in cash only)
- Valid passports for the petitioner and beneficiary and a photocopy of the biodata page for each passport.
- Beneficiary's Saudi Iqama (original and a copy).
- English translations of any of the above documents that are not in either English or Arabic.
